CONTROL®
Information Navigator Training Course
This is an end-user course for individuals who are new users of CONTROL® and are responsible for analysis and reporting of CONTROL® data.
In this course, users will be introduced to the CONTROL® application and learn:
- CONTROL® specific terminology.
- The components of a CONTROL® application.
- How to navigate through a CONTROL® application.
- How to use and create CONTROL® reports and input templates.
- How to drill to “detail”, “source”, and “sub-account” information.
- How to enter and manipulate plan and forecast data.
- How to use the Transform Wizard to develop what-if scenarios, business rules, and predictive analytics.
- How to define and automate repetitive processes to become more efficient, and spend less time on non-value added reporting, planning, and forecasting tasks.
All concepts covered in the class are reinforced with extensive hands-on exercises and case studies. Upon completion of the course, attendees will have gained a strong foundation of general capabilities of the CONTROL® Information Navigator and know how to use all the reporting and analysis features.

We charge the full class fee for cancellations received fewer than 7 working days prior to the class date, as well as, for registrants who fail to attend a class. To avoid being billed 100 percent (100%) of the cost of training, you must notify KCI at least seven business days prior to the start of the class. If no notice is given, you will be charged 100 percent (100%) of the cost of the training. Notification should be sent in writing to SeepaA@KCIcorp.com .
KCI will make every effort to hold all scheduled classes provided at least three confirmed students are registered ten working days prior to the start of the class. If, for reasons beyond our control, it becomes necessary to cancel a course, all registrants will be given as much notice as possible. In these cases, KCI shall be liable for the return of the class fee only.

This is an end-user course for individuals who are current users of CONTROL® version 8 and are migrating to CONTROL® version 9.

CONTROL® Administrator Training Course - Level I: Application Building and Populating
This course is designed for individuals responsible for designing, developing, administering, and supporting CONTROL® applications.
The class covers the fundamental concepts, features and techniques required to design, build, maintain, use, troubleshoot and optimize comprehensive financial performance management applications . Participants get an overview of CONTROL®'s architecture and terminology and learn to use the various building blocks [object classes (dimensions, hierarchy, levels, attributes, maps, roles, scripts, etc.)] to construct models, integrate and manipulate data from diverse sources, create data filters, define keywords, control access to data, create workflows, and automate routine procedures using scripts. In addition, students learn ways to organize and present data for both interactive and reporting applications.
The three day instructor-led course includes a variety of activities, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, hands-on exercises, and case studies. Upon completing the course, attendees will have gained a strong understanding of the data modeling process and how to use the various CONTROL® objects and should be positioned to build/modify models, maintain source data mapping, integrate information from disparate transactional systems, and set up security definitions.

Completion of the CONTROL® Information Navigator Level I & II training or equivalent experience, basic understanding of finance and financial system structures and data, and experience with Microsoft Excel.
