The BOM Navigation Dialog
CONTROL®'s Bill of Materials Navigation
dialog provides a simple representation of your entire top-level
or elemental product space so it's very easy to find a specific
end-use item and see its bill of materials. For an elemental
component, you can even see an “upside-down”
bill, showing every instance that component is used.

CONTROL's BOM uses an extraordinarily efficient,
server-based data “explosion” process and even
has built-in tracking intelligence. You can choose to run
the explosion for selected groups of parts and/or production
locations. You can even perform explosion on parts which have
been changed since the last valid explosion.

The unique approach used in
CONTROL's BOM does not require re-explosion for volume
or price changes.
And because, obviously, the best decisions are made using
the most accurate data, BOM notifies you regarding any discrepancies
that might influence the accuracy of forecast values. These
are shown via an “Alerts” mechanism, which will
detect missing volumes, prices, or bills of material.
An example of this Alerts dialog is shown to the left.
